Wigrams is situated on the junction of Grand Union and Oxford Canal at Napton, Warwickshire and the site is set in fifteen acres of the most stunning countryside. From the site, you will be able to enjoy uninterrupted views without a single power line or pylon in view.

About the Campsite

View of Camping fields

Wigrams caravanning and camping site is all about relaxing, and in order to do that we have made sure the necessary amenities are available to make your stay here enjoyable.

In addition to the usual toilet emptying and fresh water facilities, we have a shower and washroom and separate toilets. We also have a washing up area with hot water and a fridge and freezer is available for you to use. Dogs and children are welcome (as long as they are kept under control!) and there is plenty of space to exercise them and to play games.

Things to do and places to go

Directly from the site you can enjoy excellent walking and cycling and watch the colourfully painted narrow boats as they meander past you on the canal.

Take a walk up the flight of locks at Napton, which has to have some of the most picturesque views in the country, and treat yourself to a drink at the Folly pie pub on the way back.

If you are into eating and drinking, there are three excellent pubs within walking distance of the site - namely The Kings Head, The Crown (up in the village) or the Bridge Inn which can be reached along the towpath.

Southam, which is four miles away, offers you a variety of shops that will cater for most of your needs, including a small but well stocked supermarket, post office, off licence, butchers, chemist and a range of 'take away' food restaurants. There is also a leisure centre offering a gym, large swimming pool, sauna and steam room.

View from the bridge with Napton Junction behind

If you feel like venturing further afield, Wigrams is ideally situated for Warwick (about 30 mins by car) Royal Leamington Spa (about 20 mins by car) Stratford upon Avon (about 30 mins by car) and Banbury (about 25 mins by car). All these places are major tourist attractions offering a wide variety of entertainment, buildings of historical interest, as well as excellent and interesting shops, and good pubs and restaurants where you can enjoy a meal and a drink.

You could easily spend several weeks at Wigrams and not run out of things to do ?
